Hi guys,
Updating the numbers, the last week we were under 400 BTC first time in a long time. This week the volume recovered, so we are still at around 2,000 BTC monthly.
This is only measured using LocalBitcoin, there are other exchanges like AIRTM, Uphold, Binance and so on, but no open data). Most of the Localbitcoin trades are in Bolivares.
I recommend reading this website, it is one of the best english websites for Venezuela news (they sometimes touch the crypto and economic situation).
https://www.caracaschronicles.com/
Yesterday a survey by a serious NGO was released sadly it is only in Spanish (it is called Encovi) they concluded the average income of the Venezuela is 0.72 USD daily.

Banca internacional #03 UK LT BG MT DE – Intro EU y Fintech

Este contenido fue publicado originalmente el 06/08/2019 - Aca
Posts anteriores de la serie

Background e intro

Suena too good to be true no?

“Too much fraud from those suppliers”.

Globitex – UK/Lithuania
https://globitex.com/euro-wallet
Licencia: Crypto UK/Wallet EMI Lithuania
Cuentas: Personal/Business
Tarjeta: No.
No residentes: Si.

MisterTango – Lithuania
https://www.mistertango.com/en/
Licencia: EMI
Cuentas: Personal/Business
Tarjeta: Temporalmente suspendidas.
No residentes: Si.

LeoPay – Bulgaria
https://leopay.eu/
Licencia: EMI

https://www.handelsbank.com/en/bc/home-business-customers.html

N26 – Alemania
Licencia: Bancaria propia.
Cuentas: Personal/Business
Tarjetas: Debito/Crédito
No residentes: No*.

Revolut – Lithuania/UK
https://www.revolut.com/
Licencia: Bancaria propia (UK)
Cuentas: Personal/Business.
Tarjeta: Si, variedad dependiendo del tier.
No residentes: No*
Según la jurisdicción de residencia fiscal seleccionada, también nos puede dar como opción “Email us to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and let’s see what we can do.”

TransferWise
https://transferwise.com/
Licencia: Money transfer (UK), EMI (Lithiania)
Cuentas: Personal/Business y Borderless, 4 currencies GBP, EUR, NZD, AUD y condicionalmente USD.
Tarjeta: Si, MasterCard para residentes del Area Economica Europea.
No residentes: Si.

https://www.getinsha.com/

ToMoRRoW - Alemania
https://www.tomorrow.one/en-de/
Detalle: Banca alemana sustentable.

Kontist – Alemania
https://kontist.com/

Tarjetas

Algunos EMIs solo ofrecen tarjetas.

At today rate 43,500 BTC were traded during 2019 in Venezuela using LocalBitcoin, which is around 314,000,000 USD (leader in South America). Minimum wage is 3 USD per month. Today one BTC is around 314,000,000 Bs. (Bolivares)

Hi guys, me reporting again. Happy new year!
That is the volume ONLY using LocalBitcoin (LBTC), here people use Uphold, Airtm and other exchanges (even local ones).
Minimum wage (which is earned by a big chuck of the population, not like other countries) is 150.000 Bs. (Bolivares) wage (3 USD) + 150.000 Bs. food bonus (3 USD) PER MONTH.
Government gave away a 0.5 Petro airdrop to a lot of people two week ago as a "bonus", which is around 30 USD. More than a crypto, Petro works like an asset its USD value is fixed and the thing that changes is the Bs. (Bolivares) value.
From the crypto perspective, it was ok, even when I dont sympathize with the current government. Anyway most of the people exchanged it to fiat to purchase food, even when the USD price of the petro is fixed as there is a lot of offer and low demand, people are paying low.
This is a way of direct subside to people in need instead of subsiding the final products. So they are moving a little to the center from the left.
Biggest bank note is 50,000 Bs. which is around 1 USD. You need to use debit and credit, bank transfer, cryptos and USD to pay anything. There is a big department store, called Traki that accepts (besides USD and Bolivares) ETH, BTC, LTC and PETRO.
This after 5 zeroes were shaved from the currency less than a year ago and 3 zeroes more 12 years ago. So that banknote would be 5,000,000,000,000 Bs.
Here in Venezuela situation is really hard, some people dont believe that amount is the minimum wage. I work and earn a little more than that (anyway, the amount is really low, I'm sure with that amount I would be living homeless in Colombia, Peru or Panama for example), usually get some donations from redditors (I really thank them!) and do some freelancing work (translating mostly) and it is really hard to keep up daily. Sometimes people encourage me to keep posting.
Scarcity has lowered because goverment "opened" a little (their "center" movement), you can find a lot of products now at the stores and supermarkets (national production or imported), if you have a good wage or income you will be "better" now but if you are old and your only income is around one or two minimum wage, you cannot even enter the stores and you only can but two kilos of meat with your monthly wage.

In the current month, more than 14,000,000 USD have been traded in Venezuela using LocalBitcoin (Mostly Bolivares to BTC and BTC to Bolivares), in a country where minimum monthly wage is around 3 USD, that is an important number. Venezuela is the 1st in LBTC volume in SouthAmerica (Colombia is 2nd)

Hey guys, Venezuelan "living" in Venezuela. You can check my post history if this is the first time you read about me.
That amount is only the one reported by https://www.usefultulips.org/Latin%20America_Page.html using as source ONLY LocalBitcoin. There are a few other exchanges that can make the volume higher.

Take for example my parents both are retired high schoool teachers, adding all the income they have they barely reach 20 USD per month (each one). My father has an old 2002 car, the transmission got busted, we are stimating a 300-500 USD repair... How could they do? Public transport service sucks or doesnt exist, that is one a example of what is happening here and this is not a medical case. I know there are worse cases. After all the work they do, I mosly have to help them but food and everything.....

Sup folks! This is the final one of the catch up series. Here’s your week at Parachute + partners (15 Nov - 21 Nov'19):

With the latest update in ParJar, you can now tip crypto to your friends pegged to fiat. For example, if you were ever stuck on “How do I send $PAR tokens worth 10 USD to Cap?”, you can now simply type “/tip 10 USD PAR” and boom! ParJar does the rest for you. Awesome isn’t it? Last week we didn’t even notice that ParJar had been featured on a number of crypto publications. Cap found out this week. From Decrypt to TronWeekly to BitcoinExchangeGuide, ParJar made a big splash everywhere. Friggin amazing! PAR4PAR lottery entered stage 7. 350k $PAR up for grabs. Freelancing guide for beginners in Venezuela(Without Programming Skillls) / Guía de Freelance para principiantes en Venezuela (Sin conocimiento de programación)

Hello reddit! My name is LinkToU, and i’ve been commissioned by u/justgord to share some of my freelancing experience, living in Venezuela. It might not be much, but hopefully it'll help some people get started.
I’ve seen countless numbers of posts here in this subreddit, asking for advice on how to get started, and what are the best ways to receive money, so those are topics i’ll be touching upon in this guide.
As the title says, this is a guide that requires NO programming skills, this is meant to be a guide towards beginners, and people that are having a rough time, like i was, two and a half years ago, before getting into this.

First of all, i recommend reading this guide through google docs, because i'm not too familiar with reddit's formatting, and i think this version just looks better: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DotVUAtEAUXfgTAhDZtmylTzA4nImhoAGZCI-8XdKtM/edit?usp=sharing
Spanish version: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13DNEyyF7F-fXjpA1AplGqQjVh0H_LWd0cCjoKdZzQm4/edit?usp=sharing

VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL DE LA GUÍA A MITAD DEL POST

Now, without further ado, let’s dive right into this.

What type of work can you expect to find?
There are actually a few types of jobs that you can easily find without any specific skill, for example, translations, lead generation, data entry, transcriptions, writing articles, and even being a virtual assistant. This list could go on and on, but i’ll just give you a couple websites where you can find these types of work, and you can go figure out what’s best for you.

Where to find work?
Most of the freelance work i've done it's been through two major websites, so i'll talk a little bit about them and about my experience with each.

Spare5 (https://app.spare5.com/) is the crowdworking website that got me into this, . This is basically a crowdworking website where you’ll be reviewing different images, annotating and drawing different polygons to help train AI to identify everyday objects.
Getting started in this page is the hardest part, but i’d say it’s just as hard as it was back in 2017 when i started.
You’ll first have to complete every tutorial, then move on to the qualifiers and onto paid tasks (be sure that you understand every task before diving into them, because if you don’t perform well on your paid tasks, they’ll be taken away from you, and you might even get permanently banned).
The minimum payment is $1, and the payment method that they use is PayPal, you don’t need to have a verified Paypal account, and you WILL NOT get your account limited by just receiving money from this page.
Like i said, the hardest part of this page is to get started, as tasks will be scarce, so try not to make any mistakes, and do every task as best as you can, this will guarantee that they give you even more tasks, and eventually, you’ll be assigned permanent tasks, and your dashboard will look something like this: https://imgur.com/a/TSUASME , as you notice, the payment for each task is really low but don’t get discouraged, you’ll want to find one that is easy to do, and that you can memorize the instructions, i’ve made up to $20 in just a couple of hours, out of easy tasks that paid 0.2c each. Of course, you’ll need practice, Practice makes perfect.
I have NOT been working on this page lately, because the payment per tasks has been diminished, and tasks only get more and more complicated to complete.

Next, is Reddit, more specifically, the subreddit where i’ve found most of my freelancing jobs, is /slavelabour , where people post any kind of job that they need done (Seriously, any, i’ve seen many kinds of crazy stuff going on there), along with a payment offer, and usually a method.
This one is pretty good, since you can find different kinds of work based on your skills, i’ve mostly done data entry types of jobs there, but there are many others easy for beginners, you just have to keep an eye out for when any potential job gets posted.
Other similar subreddits that i frequent, but aren’t as active as /slavelabour are: /Jobs4Bitcoins/ , /WorkOnline/ /ForHire/ Follow the same advice that i will give for /slavelabour , as these work similarly.

Those are the main two websites where i've worked at for the past two years, there are some others that i know of, but since i haven't used them, i don't know how they work.

Now, let's talk a little bit about payment methods, and what are some good options for receiving your money once you've got yourself some gigs.

Payment methods:
Now that you know what are some good places to get started, let's talk about what's the best place to receive your payments, and keep your money safe. I’ll take about the few methods that i’ve used myself, such as PayPal, Uphold, AirTM, and most recently, Cryptos.

Where to receive your payments?

Uphold is another cloud based financial services platform, similar to PayPal, and with similar fees. The good thing about this platform, is that you can exchange your funds from USD to Crypto, and many other currencies, at the cost of a relatively small fee.
I haven’t used this method too much myself, as i used this mainly for it’s Virtual Credit Card feature, which is temporarily not available.

AirTM is an e-wallet where you can keep your money, and exchange it to other currency, or buy USD with your local money, all in the same platform.
Out of all the options i'm going to list for payment methods, this is my least favorite, as the fees are incredibly high, and in my opinion, what this website provides isn't worth it.
I haven’t had much experience with AirTM, as the fees are ridiculous, but i’ve used it and i’ll share my experiences.

Finally, Cryptocurrencies, i’ve only started using this method recently, and i can already say, this is my favorite so far, and the method i’ll mainly use from now onwards, as this has proven to be really easy to set up, and in my opinion, the best option for receiving payments, as you’ll pay minimum fees for your transactions, keep your identity safe, and the exchange rate to Venezuela’s currency is really good.
I’d say there is no downside to receiving your payments here, as even if you were worried by the Crypto’s price dropping, you could easily use a third party website to exchange your Crypto, to USD in any other platform you’d like.
The cryptocurrencies that i’ve used are Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), all of the transactions that i’ve done haven’t taken longer than 30 minutes, with the exception of using SideshiftAI to exchange my BCH into BTC, which took about an hour. Setting up a wallet for these is rather easy, however here’s a quick guide for BTC and BCH. https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started .
Also, another point in Crypto’s favor, is that some stores have begun accepting cryptos as a payment method, there’s an app in the Google Play Store named “CryptoLugaresVE” With a list of places accepting crypto as a payment method.

Finally, i’ll talk a little bit about the couple websites that you can use to safely exchange money from USD, to Venezuela’s currency. Other than these, you’d have to find someone of your trust to exchange your currency.

Where to safely exchange your earnings to Venezuela’s currency?

That’s it for now, I’ll probably update the guide as i learn more and try out new stuff, as well as with your feedback. I just want to thank u/justgord for giving me the opportunity to share all of this with you guys!

Hola Reddit!

Weekly Update: Welcome HYDRO to ParJar, Parachute newsletter signup, MatchBX Gigs, Wysker Series and Continuous Wyskering... - 22 Mar - 28 Mar'19
Good day everyone! Here’s another update for the whirlwind week we had at Parachute and Parachute/ParJar partners. IRL work keeps me from churning these out on time. Working on catching up quickly to try to post future weekly updates faster:

A cool new community started to interact with ParJar this week. HYDRO was added to ParJar and ParJar added to the Hydro group. Fantom did a shoutout and CoinPedia also tweeted about ParJar. Thank you guys! Which makes me think, if this shoutout of the shoutout to our original shoutout is shoutouted by Fantom again, would it be a shoutoutception? Hmm. Also, we had our quirkiest game in ParJar yet. Parachuters had to use this site to find the most bizarre item. Best ones would win some cool PAR. Haha! The top picks were from Patri cko, Cryptovan and Clinton.
New Wonders of the World circa 2019
There’s a new email signup link for folks new to Parachute. If you’re not receiving Cap’s emails, you can sign up there. Close to USD 600 has already been raised for the Charity Parena. Woot! To get in, make a small donation (min USD 5 or crypto equivalent directly and let Jason know or tip Clinton through ParJar) and get a chance to win a 1-of-a-kind shirt from the Parachute Shop! Plus, kiddie gear is now available in the Parachute Shop. All profits from the shop go to charity. Games Master Jason turned 34 this week. Belated Happy Birthday to ya Florida Man! We had uber fun with an accidental Cap discovery this week. Add your favorite number at the end of the following link to jump to any chat in the group. For example the following link takes you to the first ever message in Parachute. Awesome!
Three Good Bois are counting on you to sign up for the Parachute newsletter
The 2gether card was launched on 27th March for use across the Eurozone. The presale event is now listed on ICObench. Make sure to check out the BCT ANN. Admins on their TG are rewarding members with 2GB who make thoughtful posts there. 2gether has an opening for a Java Software Engineer. Have a look at their job listing and apply if you have what it takes! Spanish speakers are in for a treat this week: Cointelegraph discussed about the company in a write-up, founder Salvador’s article on the zero marginal cost concept was featured in a UNIR publication and CEO Ramon’s interview during a Madrid Stock Exchange visit also came out. The 2GT token will be issued as a Virtual Financial Asset (VFA) in Malta. Read more about it here.
2gether is the only one with a regulated token
Still figuring out how to deploy your trading algo to your Binance account? Here’s a detailed look on how to set up your API keys and deploying a strategy to live markets on Binance using the Cryzen Code Studio. Also, belated birthday wishes to Shuvro. Hope you had a great one! Folks who haven’t subscribed to the Cryzen YouTube yet, subscribe now. They now have a custom handle. Community member Jonny did a little Cryzen shoutout towards the end of his detailed Crypto Asset Prediction Series. This week’s Saturday Rock Wars at PurpleCoin was for the best guitarist of all time. Jimi Hendrix won the public vote by a whopping margin. BOMB token is looking for ambassadors who can bring “liquidity, awareness, and education to the project”. Learn more about it here. Checked out Wysker Series yet? These are listicles of bundled relevant content aimed at user growth. Design geeks will find it fascinating. Plus, the app will see a new feature soon called Continuous Wyskering. Jonathan says: “After finishing one story, users will no longer have to go back to the home screen to discover new stories. Instead, the next story in line can be accessed with a simple swipe.” Neat! And finally, Birdchain has partnered with Blocklads to bring educational content to the app's learn tab. Look out for new content in that section!
Shuvro’s ETC bot showing decent gainz
Gigs are now live on MatchBX. Freelancers can create listings for their services directly and job posters can directly hire freelancers from there. Win win! If you’re not sure of what MatchBX is, read up on it here. Plus, the weekly AXPR burn went on as scheduled. Bounty0x crossed 500k+ monthly page views this week with a ~30% return visitor rate. If you’ve participated in a Cures Token bounty on Bounty0x, this article is super relevant. Also, KABN partnered with Bounty0x this week for running promotional bounties for their token offering. The ETHOS token is now listed on the ChangeNOW exchange. Much has been said about the Voyager-ETHOS deal so far. Shingo explains in this article why the partnership will be “setting new standards of transparency”. District0x’s weekly update covers a range of topics including Brady’s interview with A Garden of Crypto on all things District0x.
AXPR tokenomics
Altcoin Buzz featured Opacity this week and talked about their current development roadmap which includes the 1.0 site launch (which was also this week). Check out opacity.io for a look and feel of what’s in store for May. Badcredit wrote about Horizon State with a detailed piece. The Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council was announced this week as well. “The voting process has been transparent and historic - for the first time in South Australian Government history, Blockchain technology was used for the voting process." Big up to Horizon State for becoming a part of history! And finally, they closed off the week with a bang by getting listed on CoinExchange.io. John McAfee talks about Switch around the 11 minute mark in this interview with Satoshi Sean. Blockport was the centrepiece of this Coinvision article that explains the ins and outs of both the exchange as well as the BPT/BPS tokens. The Blockport STO is set for April 15th with more details in this post. If you’re interested and live in the EU or the US, the whitelist procedure is explained here. And finally, onto some Fantom news. Coinspeaker elaborates what the myriad partnerships mean for Fantom in this article. Like last week, Fantom capped off this week too with another exchange listing – ChainX. Boom!

Thank you for taking the time. See you soon with another weekly update. Cheerio!

Non-Argies coming from other subs to ask for free bitcoins: you're welcome here, but I'm giving priority to Argentines for now.
To all other bitcoiners helping out: thank you so much <3

Mini-FAQ:

¿Qué wallet recomendás?
Online:
  • Blockchain.info
