Hello fellow Canadian Bitcoin users! I'm just wondering if you guys have any recommended wallet for new users like me to use? I have some knowledge about Bitcoin, but I'm not looking to dive into it. Basically, i'm just looking for something where I can just buy Bitcoin to my wallet (aka add funds to it), and send them to other wallets. I tried Coinbase a while back, and I haven't been using it ever since (I pulled my funds out of it, in case you were wondering). I was going to try and use it again, but I wanted to hear your thoughts. I would prefer that the wallet is open source, and has low/no fees (for transfer, storage, etc.) I tried bitcoin.org's wallet recommendations, and suggested/saw Bitcoin Wallet, Edge, BitPay, Electrum, and BRD. Bitcoin Wallet and BRD are only restricted to mobile, so I'm looking for something where I can access it through an app and the website. Thanks.
I’ve cautioned against using my trading wallet to transfer coins straight to the market, set up electrum, transferred to my electrum, the fees are nearly matching the amount sent on the lowest setting! This can’t be right. I need a wallet with low fees what I can transfer to the market from? Help

[uncensored-r/Bitcoin] Which are your recommended Bitcoin wallets in 2017
The following post by Testamur is being replicated because some comments within the post(but not the post itself) have been silently removed. The original post can be found(in censored form) at this link: np.reddit.com/ Bitcoin/comments/72bydp The original post's content was as follows:
What do you use as your favorite bitcoin wallets and why? As things have progressed very much in the last years, I know that some wallets have fallen out of the spotlight (eg Multibit with their "developer fee" when making transactions). I'm also aware that many new online & mobile wallets have popped up. So which are your best bitcoin wallets in 2017 and why would you recommend using them? I'm curious to know which wallet people advise for each use-case and security level. Are there any wallets that people should completely avoid using?
Where can I find recommended bitcoin wallet "workflows" ?
Many different strategies exist for wallet management. Many of these strategies compete and/or overlap with one another. I'm looking for a good place to find bitcoin wallet "workflows" that tie these strategies together in a synergistic fashion. Where should I begin? Is there a repository of recommended wallet management strategies? Edit 1: Some things I like, that I would prefer to be part of the workflow:
no brain wallets, but deterministic wallets secured properly are OK
Rasberry Pi used for offline cold storage
Trezor, or something similar, for transaction protection
I have been looking for a mobile wallet and there are some apps that come up frequently in discussions such as Electrum. Something I find weird is that if you look up in google the first result takes you to this site which recommends bitcoin-wallet as the best one.If you look up bitcoin wallet in the playstore that app is also the first result. But I couldn't find a single reference here or in other sites listing good mobile wallets. What am I missing?
Hello! I'm looking for a entry level wallet to store Bitcoin. I won't be doing trades very often and would just like somewhere to store Bitcoin safely for the long term. I'm currently deciding between Trezor and Ledger Nano S but I'm open to suggestions! Also, what would be the best way to obtain one? e.g. If I were to get a Trezor, should I buy from the official distributor for Trezor (https://pennywise.sg/) or buy it from Lazada (~$20 cheaper)? Thanks!
How many "I wanna start with Bitcoin" chats you had recently and what wallet+exchange you recommended and why?
I had like 4 chats with friends and recommended Bitbay as exchange (because it has good connection to Polish banking system and fast payout) and Bitcoin core as this is wallet as it is intended to be but you need to have fully sync blockchain that I am always mentioning.
Started investing in bitcoin using coin base pro. But as I look more into it most guides recommend storing your currency on an offline ledger or wallet. How do you protect yourself from a flash crash or 20% drop in value if its in a wallet?
Everywhere I see points to not leaving your crypto or cash on an exchange as they can get hacked, or your account can get hacked and your money taken. They recommend you use an offline ledger like the Ledger Nano X as an example, or a digital wallet. This is all fine but how do you protect your bit coin value in the case of a flash crash? Or do you need to choose? Thanks for all the responses and helping understand :)
